Therese Brown was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. At a
young age, she moved with her family to the UK.
Therese founded and ran her own business before
turning to photography.
A year spent travelling overland across the continent of
Africa changed her focus from commercial enterprise
to working with adults with special needs. Her ability to
connect with people is highlighted in how she manages
to capture her subjects in a natural and engaging way.
A keen amateur photographer who enjoys travelling to
more remote areas of the world, Therese actively seeks
to connect with local people. She spends time getting
to know their culture and environment, whilst
documenting their stories.
In the coming months she will be publishing more of her
images and projects, bringing to light the simple beauty
of the ordinary. Her strong belief, in her own words, is
quoted below:
"Photography for me transcends continents, cultures,
religions, politics.... it connects us all in a way that is
seamless."
